One of the strong points in forester dies is the high position of the expander button.
it is supposed to minimize the boogeyman of crooked case necks, caused by non centred expander buttons. i have moved all my expander buttons in RCBS and Redding dies upward so they do just the case necks, by screwing the stem upward until in proper position. I also remove the now useless decapping pin. Decapping I do in a separate step on the shooting bench, with a special decapping tool while waiting for my rifle barrel to cool.
Think I am doing the right thing, what is your opinion on this move of mine?
