Found good load
Just wanted to post this. I’m kind of pleased where this load development has led too. Bergara BMP in 6.5 CM, Athlon Helios 6-24 X, Nosler Brass large primer. Winchester primer, 40.3g H5350, Berger 140g VLD Target. The only problem is with the bullet 20 thous off the lands the COAL is about .125 too long to fit in the mag!! But it does group well. I measured the group at .126”

That's an impressive group size with your 6.5 CM Bergara BMP load! Given that your COAL is too long for the magazine due to seating the Berger 140g VLD Target 20 thousandths off the lands, have you considered experimenting with seating depth adjustments to fit the magazine while maintaining accuracy ? Alternatively, are you planning to single-feed these rounds for optimal precision, or perhaps explore a different bullet profile that might allow magazine compatibility without sacrificing performance? What’s your approach to balancing magazine fit with the tight grouping you’ve achieved?
