Hey everybody. Has anyone done any work with 300 blk subs that aren’t as loud and dirty as 1680 or most factory? Been working on getting n105 and 220 grainers. Also awaiting an order of Accura 200 gr plated so we’ll see how those do. I bet those will be easier to get to cycle. Run some of them in my 16” single shot and I’ve heard louder pellet guns. If I open my gas block way up on an Odin works 10.5” they were cycling but made my standard sub loads loud as hell. I plan to update with some specific loads and progress if anyone cares/has done the same.

I just finished up load development for my 300 BLk with N120 behind 200gr ELDX. pretty dang clean suppressed and super consistent SDs
The n105 I’ve found a load with 220 SMK that stays sub in the single shot and cycles the gas gun, BHO on one type of mag but not the other, but have only got to shoot them on moderate temp days. Need to bring them out when it hot and cold to test them. They really are much quieter than other powders, sound like a 22 whereas other powders and subs have sounded more like suppressed centerfire pistol subs. Feel free to DM for how I got there.
I've had good luck with cast and powder coated Lee 230 grain bullets and IMR 4227 out of a 8.5" pistol length gas AR. They also run nicely in my 16" pistol length gas AR.
I'm trying to find a new load using Lil' gun and egglestone munitions 200 grain powder coated cast bullets but haven't found one that's subsonic and will hold the bolt open on the last round.
Well here in Kommiefornia we can’t play with cans but, I have played around with loading 300blkout subs. I have used the Hornady 208 gr ELD or I cast my own 230 gr with a Lee mold and then powder coat those to avoid lead fowling. Have been loading with CFE BLK and dump in range of 10 to 11.8 grains.
I am going to work up some sub loads this week. I’ll be using Shooters World Blackout powder and some Speer 200 grainers. Once I get the loads worked up I’ll be more then happy to share my results. I’m also very open to any inputs from the rest of the handloaders on here. My setup is a 9.5” Ballistic Advantage barre with a adjustable gas block. Not suppressed yet.
It is! I’ll bring my camera woman when she gets over the flu and have her record. It really is huge for me. I shot a deer with a 5” 10mm 1911 in a janky plywood ground blind a few years ago and that was the nail in that ear’s coffin. Ear pro while hunting has been weak as heck. My rugged surge form 4 finally went through a few weeks ago so I’ll be working up a hunting load for that single shot to try and take a deer with my first suppressed hunt.
I have used Norma 200 with good results. I tried it when I couldn’t find 1680. Non adjustable gas block they cycled with and w/o the suppressor. I don’t recall it being “dirty” but it’s not as cheap as others.
Working with blackout from shooters world now. Some of the best stuff around supposedly and some big name ammo brands are using it in their 300 sub loads too.
