Turret Press vs Single stage
What is the benefit of using a turret press vs a single stage press such as the co-ax or nexus where the die can be snapped in and out without having to reset it each time?

Hello all,
I have a question.. I wanted to watch the resizing the brass again to make sure I was doing it correct. I know there are many ways of resizing the brass and headspace as well. I have a Remington 700 nothting special just a regular ADL version I bought a while ago.
Went out to the range and saved my brass. After removing the primers I get
First time fire brass: 1.6235 from my understanding I have bump it 0.002 back and it should be 1.621.
I seen other videos where they take out the firepin and the ejector from the rifle and bump the should back little by little until the action just falls without any issue. I tried that way and my final measurement came to
1.6245.
thank you for all the great info. I did buy a annealing a couple weeks back. . Keep up the great work.
Hello all,
Just wanted to get some feed back. Over the years any time I have gone out to the range I have picked up brass that was left behind. Most of the time it was a lot of 223 and 308 plus some 9mm.
I never thought I would get into reloading so I bought at shows reloading brass and big box store purchase as well. Now that I got into reloading my questions are
The reloading brass I purcahse at shows can I reload those and keep them all together
Big box store purchase can I reload those with my own load or do I need to purchase new brass.
Sorting some times is very hard because of different stamps on the brass. Some I could tell are 223 but brand name is sometime hard and can't make out what they are.
Yes, that’s okay. I’ve seen many people do this if they just want to plink. To be on the side of caution, I would probably use a low charge weight that's suggested in your manual, just to be safe with the different brands
I have an odd situation going on with my dreaded .223/5.56 Mossberg MVP. I just tried a new powder and got great ES and SD numbers and alright accuracy with my bullet combination. Anywho, a new phenomenon has reared its head. The fired brass is pushing out the primers. Like the primers are un-seating themselves. It's not over pressure (primers crater and/or punch a hole in them) and all the primers have a good fit and aren't loose by any means. What could allow the primer to push out like that?
I have a theory that the brass isn't actually headspacing properly and the firing pin is pushing the cartridge farther into the chamber making a gap with the brass and the bolt face...
Post your reloading related questions here.
In my opinion, not a crazy amount of difference. Ofcourse you can have the die locking rings and have them set perfectly inbetween dies and swap them. However, with the turret there’s nothing you have to move. Just snap the tool head over into your next die. IMO, really a personal preference.
